Bienvenue au Blog Nancy!
By: Nate | August 8th, 2008Hello all and bienvenue!
My name is Nate and I’m very excited to be writing the new Nancy blog! After a fourth place finish last year, I’m looking for us to definitely crack the top three this year. And since it’s bold prediction time, Lyon will NOT 8-peat this season…(Please remind me at the end of the season of this statement if I’m wrong). I definitely think Bordeaux and St. Etienne look strong again, with Marseille again the wildcard.
Tomorrow the table is equal for the last time for a year as we face Lille in the first match of the new Nancy season. A reliably strong opponent, Lille will be a great first test to see where we match up against a quality opponent. We do have some noticeable absences though. Jonathan Brison and Frederic Biancalani are both injured, one has a throat issue and the other is carrying a knock. To make things more interesting, we will be missing Jean Calve and Pascal Beranguer due to an outstanding suspension.
Here’s the 18 we have available: Bracigliano Gregorini Chrétien Helder André Luiz Sami Ouaddou
Macaluso Gavanon N’Diaye Féret Malonga Dia Hadji Curbelo N’Guemo Zerka Fortune
Finally, on this first post I’d like to invite all you Nancy supporters who visit the blog to give me feedback and ideas for what you’d like to see most on here. I probably won’t be able to post each day, but will do my utmost to keep it fresh and interesting so that you all have a reason to visit the Nancy blog often. So here’s to the new season and new blog, Allez Nancy!

Bienvenue!
Allez ANSL!
I am Auxerrois d’adaption, but have very fond memories of Nancy, the Place Stansislaus (I’m of Polish heritage) and the “thistles”.

I’m looking forward to visiting Nancy, for the first time, later this month for the UEFA cup tie. The city looks very picturesque and hopefully will be very welcoming of the Motherwell fans who visit. It is a great thrill to be able to travel abroad with my team this year (1st time in 13 long years) so my self and my son are truly excited. I expect a good tight game with plenty of flowing football and may the best team win.
